Family travel through the eyes of a toddler

Rowan and some coral – Cebu, Philippines

Travelling with a toddler to far-away jungles can seem like an arduous journey. How will the little one react to the different environment, weather, food, transportation, people?

But you can’t let fear get in the way. Instead, adopt the positive, curious attitude of your toddler. You’ll feel much more relaxed and you’ll enjoy yourself way more. And the little one will too.

Case in point: our trip to Borneo. Here’s a travel article I wrote recently for the Calgary Herald, called “Catching a glimpse of protected orangutans helps families beat the heat in Malaysian Borneo” that highlights the reasons why young children can help take you further than you might have thought in your adventurous travels.

Especially when you see the world through their eyes.
